Why choose professional removal over a scrap yard?
Most people think they’ll make a fortune at the scrap yard, but the reality is often different, involving heavy labour, gas costs, and long wait times. Here is why homeowners and contractors choose our full-service removal:
- Full-service labour: We are fully insured to handle all heavy lifting and loading from anywhere on your property—no sorting or curbside moving required.
- Vehicle protection: Avoid truck rental costs and the risk of flat tires, scratches, or stains to your personal vehicle.
- We take it all: We take "mixed-material" items (like appliances and furniture) that traditional scrap yards often reject.
- No sorting required: We handle the tedious separation of ferrous and non-ferrous metals so you don’t have to.
- Convenient scheduling: Skip the long wait lines at the yard with scheduled, same-day appointments that give you your weekend back.
We have locations across Canada to provide you with fast, local service wherever you are.
How much does scrap metal removal and recycling cost?
It’s based on how much space your junk takes up in the truck. It starts from our minimum charge of 1/8th of a truck all the way up to a full truckload. Since the price is based on volume, we need to see your items in person to give you an exact price. Call or book your free no-obligation estimate today!
We also offer single-item pricing if you only need to remove one item. For more details, visit our Pricing page.
If you have more than just metal to get rid of, we can take almost any non-hazardous item. For a full list, see our What We Take page.

No. Scrap metals should not be put into the recycle bin as they can damage the sorting equipment at the local trash collection units. Scrap metals such as stainless steel pots, pans, broken appliances, iron waste, metal from construction scrap, heavy metal equipment, sharp metals, cans containing chemicals like paint, propane, mercury, motor oil, etc. should be carefully sorted and dropped off at a metal recycler’s facility.
However, all packaging metal such as food and drinks cans, sweet tins, cake tins, foil trays, aluminum wrapping foil, pet food tins, bottles, etc. can be recycled and can all go into the blue recycling bin. Check your local recycling guidelines to learn more about what can and can’t be recycled in your area.
Not all scrap metal around your home can be recycled. Some of these metals include:
- Lead, found in cathode ray tubes in old TVs
- Radioactive metals like Plutonium and uranium
- Mercury, often found in fluorescent light tubes
- Motor oil and paint cans
- Propane gas tanks
- Certain car parts
These metals are often treated with harmful chemicals that could cause damage to the soil and the air once they’re broken down.
