Sean Clymer
My name is Sean Clymer and I am President of the San Francisco Bay, Walnut Creek
and Silicon Valley Franchises of 1-800-GOT-JUNK? as well as General Manager of San
Francisco Bay 1-800-GOT-JUNK?.
I started at 1-800-GOT-JUNK? San Francisco Bay, immediately drawn in due to the
amazing TTM culture. I had been fortunate enough to meet many of the Truck Team
Members organically through managing a local business. Their friendliness,
professionalism, and the overall kindness of these gentlemen made me want to be part
of the SF team. I quit my job managing and pursued a career at 1-800-GOT-JUNK? San
Francisco Bay.
I was a Truck Team Member, Trainer, Lead Trainer, Operations Assistant, Operations
Manager, followed by Senior Operations Manager. I learned that the most important
assets to 1-800-GOT-JUNK? are #1 the Truck Team Members, and #2 the Trucks. With
a background in Automotive Technology and experience in management, I transitioned
to the role of Director of Fleet and Training. After 2 years in the position, I became a Vice
President in San Francisco Bay, followed by my current role in leadership of the 3
franchises.
As soon as I started working at 1-800-GOT-JUNK? I knew this was the place for me and
told leadership I would be a “lifer”. I knew I wanted to thrive in an atmosphere where
hard work, honesty, professionalism, and sacrifice gets rewarded. 1-800-GOT-JUNK? is
a place where we help those around us, we help the environment, we provide for
families and we have FUN! I wholeheartedly believe in the motto “We empower each
and every Truck Team Member to reach their full potential” and live it daily.
My drive for the franchises is to continue doing everything we can to be as green of a
company as possible. Recycling mattresses, metal, electronics and much more in
house. After those, I am proud to have a partnership with Goodwill and regularly donate
much of what we are hired to remove. We are proud that our amazing Truck Team
Members are our first avenue of donation. We are not done there either - to ensure we
keep costs down for our customers, we have started an extremely affordable resale
program to even further divert as much as possible. Reuse is the best kind of recycling
and also gives us pride in giving back to the local community.
It is my promise that I will work tirelessly to keep our amazing culture here in the San
Francisco and Walnut Creek and Silicon Valley franchises. I will lead this company to
success with thorough planning as well as helping employees, with the entrepreneurial
spirit, reach their goals and succeed in our company, just as I have. Great people with a
great plan is a recipe for success.
