John Wagner

Hi, I’m John Wagner, General Manager of the 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise in Vermont. I started at 1-800-GOT-JUNK? in 2010 at the Columbus, OH location working on the trucks. I worked there for 1 year and transferred to the 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Vermont location and have been here ever since. I chose to join 1-800-GOT-JUNK? for the same reasons that I'm still with the company. It's so much fun! The people are happy and passionate, just like me! The company culture and vision are important to the company and important to me as well. I had the best time as a truck team member. I remember thinking, why didn't I know about this job sooner!

As the General Manager, I enjoy watching staff grow both personally and professionally. I love the comradery our teams have. I enjoy being in the field with our teams and seeing them in action. I also really like educating people about all of the different 'junk' that we come across and how we pride ourselves on donating, repurposing, and recycling as much as we possibly can.

We have supported or been involved with Lund, Girls on the Run 5K, Kid Safe Collaborative Yard Sale, Green Up Day, Waste Warriors, Vermont Cares, and the Hoarding Task Forces for Chittenden County and Addison County. We also donate as often as we can to organizations like Second Chance Toys, Ohavi Zedek Synagogue, ReSOURCE, Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity, ANEW Place Homeless Shelter, Chittenden County Humane Society, Vermont Refugee Resettlement Program, Goodwill, Salvation Army, and many other local organizations.

I have the most amazing family! My high school sweetheart is now my amazing wife. We have been blessed with three of the most sweet and awesome boys. We love to spend as much time together as possible, living life's adventure one day at a time. I'm passionate about caring for living things. We raise a flock of egg layer chickens in our homemade coop and grow our own vegetables, fruit, and herbs. I also love hiking, biking, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, and just getting outside in all types of weather. I’m also a passionate football fan — let’s go Ohio State Buckeyes!

Let's see if we're in your neighborhood.
