Every once in a while, a project comes along that lights a little fire in your DIY soul. For me, that project is a vintage camper. Yep, I bought a 1969 fixer-upper camper trailer, and I’ve got big plans to give it a new life as a cozy, road-ready home on wheels—bring on the adventures! BUT before I could dive into the demo and design, I had one big problem to solve:
I had no space to work.

Between years of interior home projects and now the mountain of demo debris coming out of the camper (think: warped wood paneling, broken cabinetry, old appliances, bedding, and mystery bits from 1973), I needed serious help clearing the way—that’s when I called 1-800-GOT-JUNK?.
And let me tell you, I don’t hire help often (hence being a do-it-yourself-er), but this service was the best thing I could’ve added to my tool belt.
Same-day service, zero stress

I booked online in minutes, and they arrived the same day, smiling and ready to help. They gave me a quick, on-site quote (based on volume), and once I gave the go-ahead…that was it. I didn’t have to lift a finger. Actually, just one finger because all I needed to do was POINT!
No dragging junk to the curb, and no mess left behind—they cleaned up, too! Now I had a wide-open garage floor, ready for camper projects.
The team made it fun

Not only were the 1-800-GOT-JUNK? team members super professional and efficient, they were also genuinely fun to work with. We laughed, we swapped junk horror stories, and they answered all my silly questions, like “what’s the weirdest piece of junk you’ve ever removed?” and “what do you do with all the junk?”
Responsible junk removal brings major peace of mind
One of the biggest reasons I chose 1-800-GOT-JUNK? was their commitment to repurposing. They recycle the recyclables and donate the donatables, which is so important to me—ESPECIALLY when this entire vintage camper project is about reviving something that could easily be considered junk.
The best part? I can finally get to work
With the garage cleared out, I rolled my little camper right in. Now I’m officially in build mode–tools are ready, plans are drawn up, and ideas are flowing. None of this would’ve been possible without clearing that physical (and mental) clutter.
If you’re staring down a project and overwhelmed by the junk standing in the way, I can’t recommend 1-800-GOT-JUNK? enough.
