We called at noon on a Thursday (7-24-2025) and they were able to come over that same day. They set up a 2 hour window from 3-5 and called 30 minutes before arriving ~4pm. Estimate made on site. They will charge extra for disposing foreign liquids, anything with an electric wire, etc, and other things I can't think of. Originally, we were looking at a bill of almost $500. The base fee (lowest bracket) was ~$225. We needed a fridge to be removed that had very recently stopped working and smelled horrible, which is why we needed a quick removal. We were very pleased to have it removed the same day that we called. But, while we were clearing out the garage we found ~20 other items to have removed, which were much smaller and lighter. Old coolers, lamp, junk computer, vaccum, etc. These items increased the price tremendously. For the fridge removal and items that didn't incur extra fees they offered us a price of ~$311. This was a price we could work with. They were kind enough to take the rest of the junk, anyway, in exchange for a positive review. Considering that the total removal took ~15 minutes and was quite small with exception of the fridge, this was a much better price point; one that we could work with and we're more than happy to leave a good review. The removal associates that helped were Tom and Jose, I believe. Both were very pleaseant guys, and we enjoyed having them there. It was a bonus that they were also removing our old junk! It's no surprise that 1800GotJunk gets such great reviews. It appears they don't have a physical location (store address). Which is also a +1, to me. I appreciate efficient business, and lessening the amount of unnecessary store-fronts. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND 1800GotJunk in the South Austin area. Fast, Friendly, and best of all Flexible.
