Meet our franchise partner:
Michael and April Allan
Hi, we are Michael and April Allan and we are the franchise partners of 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Fraser Valley East. Michael started with 1-800-GOT-JUNK? in 2004 and by the following year he worked his way up into management and hasn’t looked back. April joined the team in 2006 as a truck team member and over the course of 10 years worked in all areas of the business. By 2009 we were married and living in Abbotsford, where our passion for 1-800-GOT-JUNK? turned into a vision.
We made that a reality in 2016 when Rob Watson, our boss, agreed to split his territory into two so we could become franchise partners. Michael continues to work with Rob in the Fraser Valley Franchise and April keeps her focus on their Fraser Valley East Franchise. Over the course of 17 years we have grown our family and have two beautiful girls, completed over 8000 services in Abbotsford, Aldergrove, Chilliwack, Maple Ridge, Mission and Pitt Meadows, and continue to hire within the communities we serve while helping our teams grow as individuals.
As much as we love helping out people with their junk and all the unique situations we see, we think the best part about owning the franchise is the people we hire, working with them, getting to know their passions, and helping them whenever possible. Our longest standing employee was our very first hire back in 2016 and in the course of 5 years he has created his own success story—he’s now our Operations Manager and a key part of the business!
When we are not at work, we find ourselves mainly in a hockey rink with the girls during the winter and trying to find new beaches or sun spots in the summer. Thankfully we live in one of the most beautiful places in Canada, so it’s always easy to find something fun to do!
