& pick-up times
1-800-GOT-JUNK? Halifax operates from the heart of Halifax. We provide junk removal, garbage pick up, and waste disposal in Halifax and area, including Dartmourth, Bedford, Lower Sackville, Eastern Passage, Hammonds Plains, Windsor, Chester, Lunenburg, Musquodobit, and Stewiacke, to name a few.
Whatever type of trash you have, we can take it, from old household appliances, furniture, and electronics, to construction materials like drywall, insulation, concrete, and wood.
We have several trucks, and can haul away both residential junk and commercial junk.
We can take almost anything two adults can lift – all you have to do is point at your trash (wherever it’s located) and we do the rest.
Hi, my name is Chris Smith, and I’m the Operations Manager for 1-800-GOT-JUNK? in Halifax. I saw a big opportunity with 1-800-GOT-JUNK? to provide professional junk removal and waste disposal services in Halifax and area.
We’re a really different service because we’re extremely customer-focused. We know you’re busy. This is why we have a two hour arrival window, and will call you 15-30 minutes before we show up, which helps you manage your day better.
You don’t have to move your junk, garbage, or unwanted items together, or put them outside for us. All you have to do is point to your junk (wherever it is) and our friendly, uniformed drivers do the rest. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a big smile on a customer’s face after we’ve helped them de-clutter their home and life.
When do people generally call us? People need our junk and waste disposal services in lots of situations:
If you’re planning on doing any spring cleaning, need to get rid of your Christmas tree, or clean up your home before or after Christmas, for example. People often call us in when they’re moving in Halifax or area, as well.
We also do a fair number of estate cleanouts, renovation clean ups, shed and basement cleanouts, store closures, and general tidying up.
At 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Halifax, we take recycling and diversion seriously. We try to donate re-useable items to the Salvation Army Thrift Store, Value Village, or Parker Street Furniture Bank.
For electronics, we recycle them at approved A.C.E.S. sites. Construction materials can be recycled or broken down for re-use at a construction materials depot.
When I’m not helping run one of the best garbage removal business in Halifax, I’m volunteering with the Pavillion (a dedicated all ages music venue, which promotes music to youth aged 13 to 23), and have been involved in putting on concerts for youth since 2004.
Music is a huge passion of mine, and I really enjoy staying involved in the music industry in my spare time.
Yard Sale for Cure - The Commons Triangle outside of the Pavilion building
1-800-GOT-JUNK? Halifax is teaming up with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation for their Yard Sale for the Cure. We’re collecting items that we think would make a great addition to the yard sale to raise much needed funds for breast cancer. In addition to a giant yard sale, there will be a BBQ and other activities. We’re so excited to be a part of this great community event, and can’t wait to see you there!
