Once the 2 young men came to pick up junk they were courteous. They kept me in the loop...
Finishing a major project at home or at your business can come with feelings of accomplishment, especially if you put hours of your own hard work into it. There's only one problem — a big project usually comes with a big load of junk. Are you replacing equipment in your office? Old computers and desks are left behind. Maybe a big home renovation? Get ready for scrap wood, drywall, and more. Even if you're just doing some spring cleaning, bags of trash, broken toys and other junk will be the outcome.
Basically, there's no progress without junk, creating the need for a reliable solution that you can use over and over without penalty. That's where we come in. 1-800-GOT-JUNK? has been known for trusted junk removal since 1989, and we don't plan on stopping any time soon.
When you need a dumpster rental alternative in Milwaukee, your solution is simple: call 1-800-GOT-JUNK? and we'll schedule a date and time to come over and handle your junk (at your earliest convenience). Simply tell us a little about your junk needs and we'll begin assembling a team of high-trained junk haulers to help out. We service many of Milwaukee's surrounding areas, such as Beloit and Janesville.
When the agreed upon date and time arrives, you won't need to do anything to prepare, like bag up your junk or take it out to the curb. When our friendly team shows up on your property in our shiny, branded trucks, we'll walk through every area where your junk is causing problems and we'll back it out ourselves. Simply sit back with a drink, and just point and junk disappears.
Not only is our service comprehensive and convenient, it's simple, whether you're using us one time or every day. Since you only pay a flat rate for the space your junk takes up the bed of our trucks, there's nothing stopping you from using 1-800-GOT-JUNK? every time you need us.
We're in your neighborhood, and we're happy to help. Part of that involves making a commitment to protecting the environment. Our promise to you is that of every bit of junk we take away, we'll make sure that we donate and recycle as much of it as possible.
Basically, as long as your junk isn't hazardous and can be handled by a team of able-bodied junk haulers, it's eligible for our junk removal and dumpster rental alternative service. Here are some examples:
Scrap metal and old car parts
In the past, many residential and commercial projects came with a dumpster rental. It was just what you did. Since 1-800-GOT-JUNK? entered the junk removal market, however, dumpster rental companies have seen their market share shrink. Here are just a few reasons why.
1. when you rent a dumpster, you're only getting partial service. The company that drops off the dumpster usually doesn't actually help you put your junk in the dumpster. At 1-800-GOT-JUNK? we don't think doing the bare minimum is enough. That's why we work hard to make sure our junk removal is a full-service option for you.
2. no one likes looking at a dumpster in their neighborhood — not you, not people driving by, and certainly not your neighbors. Do everyone a favor (especially yourself) and hire 1-800-GOT-JUNK?, a team that will get the whole job done in a single day, no matter what.

Hi, we are Drew and Shelly Yergens and together we operate the 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise in South Wisconsin. We both grew up in Southeast Wisconsin and are raising our family in Mukwonago, WI. It was here that we learned first hand the importance of hard work, friendly service, and doing what we say we will. We bring these values to every aspect of our business.
Our team provides the personal service that people have come to expect from a locally owned business, with the support of a large, national organization. We believe that our hard-working team of courteous, uniformed, well-trained professionals is the reason why we are the leader in junk removal. You can expect us to provide you with upfront pricing, on-time service, and clean shiny trucks every time you call. We have the structure, expertise, and experience to properly handle jobs of all sizes; from a typical spring cleaning to large complex business clean-outs. Many appointments are booked for same-day service so you don't have to wait to get that unwanted junk out of your way. We are proud that our reputation has earned us many repeat customers including, realtors, property managers, and large organizations. We make junk disappear—all you have to do is point.
Our commitment is to provide our customers with the best experience possible while recycling and donating as much as we can. Our target goal is to remove over 60% of what we collect from the landfill and waste stream. We work directly with Goodwill and St. Vincent De Paul to donate usable items to those in most need. It’s a great way to get rid of your unwanted junk and know that it is being disposed of in a responsible way.
Todd Yergens, life-long southeastern Wisconsin native, has been growing and expanding the 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Wisconsin franchise since 2004. In the spring of that year, he read an article about an expanding organization of professional junk disposal specialists called 1-800-GOT-JUNK?. Todd knew they had the right combination of skills, experience, and dedication to re-invent the way people in the Milwaukee area disposed of their unwanted junk.
After much success, Todd expanded from the Northwest Milwaukee market to service a broader area , including Milwaukee, Waukesha, Washington, Ozaukee, Fond Du Lac, Sheboygan, and Manitowoc counties, as well as the Green Bay and Appleton region.
In 2016, the business really became a family affair when Patti Yergens decided to join the business full time with her husband. With 25 years of experience in the media and marketing space, Patti helped propel the business to new heights. Patti loved working with the 1-800-GOT-JUNK? family so much that she decided to purchase a franchise of her own (in Savannah, GA) in 2018. With five children and one grandchild, Todd and Patti stay pretty busy outside of work, too!
The local 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise also prides itself on its eco-consciousness. They recycle more than 60% of the debris they remove and donate items with life left in them to local charitable organizations like St Vincent de Paul of Waukesha, and donating clothes to RDCycle, who distributes them to people in need. They also work with Su Casa and Battered Women of Wisconsin, donating items in need. Any property of yours that is donated is done so in your name and you will receive a donation receipt.
The Wisconsin 1-800-GOT-JUNK? partner is no stranger to jobs of all sizes. Big or small, residential or commercial – they have the resources and expertise to quickly rid you of surplus junk. They’re always happy to help make your junk disappear!
Junkman hits the big time. If you saw the crew from Butler's 1-800-GOT-JUNK? on the cable TV show "Hoarders," then you saw only a small part of what the franchise does. Todd Yergens' company has appeared twice on the A&E show - last April and just this February. The more recent appearance showed the company taking more than six dump truck loads (10-12 tons) of clothes, toys, furniture and bedding, out of a Milwaukee house. The 38-year-old single father whose home they cleared out is not a typical customer, Yergens explained during a ride-along interview last week: http://www.livinglakecountry.com/sussexsun/news/89519017.html. FOX 6's Gus Gnorski came to watch us do a 40 truck 1-800-GOT-JUNK? was recently called out to the old White Eagle Hotel to clear out several years’ worth of neglected items. The hotel became a rooming house toward the end of its life, but that was ten years ago! With no power in the building and so much debris to haul out, this was a difficult job. We brought in generators and lights and completed the job safely in three days. The best news? We were able to recycle 70% of what we hauled out. FOX 6’s Gus Gnorski joined us and reported on the 40 truckload job. 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Helps Hurricane Katrina Victims In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, we worked with local churches to find ways to help victims cope with the devastation caused by the storm. We decided to make the long trip to Louisiana to take supplies, assist in the clean up, and help provide displaced residents the opportunity to relocate. With the support of family, friends and the community, we received twelve tons of supplies within forty-eight hours, which we then loaded up before hitting the road. After determining where help was needed most, we found a distribution center being run in conjunction with the National Guard. We dropped off the twelve tons of supplies and helped the National Guard transport one hundred pallets of supplies to the distribution center. In the following days, we helped families whose homes needed to be gutted because they had been under six feet of water. Junk Trucks on Parade We enjoy being part of the Milwaukee community. Whenever possible we take part in parades, festivals or community cleanups. The whole junk pickup crew looks forward to decorating the junk trucks and getting into costume. Here we are at the Waukesha County Fair. Bed Bugs are in Milwaukee We have seen a large increase in the amount of junk removal jobs that we have done recently in Milwaukee and Waukesha that have been because of a bedbug infestation. Bedbugs are a bloodsucking insect that can go without eating for up to 12 months and can spread throughout a house or an apartment complex very quickly! The team here at 1-800-GOT-JUNK? is highly trained and has all the proper equipment to remove and haul away all items that have been effected by bedbugs. It’s not only important to have the proper equipment to haul away the items but to also insure that when you are removing the infested items that you don’t spread the bedbugs to other tenants or parts of the house. Equally important while removing and hauling away the items is using discretion while doing the job. The last thing you need while dealing with a bedbug infestation is for other tenants or neighbors to become aware of the situation.
