We also pride ourselves in giving back to the community in any way we can. We recycle, salvage and donate up to 60% of the items we haul away. We are also e-waste certified, ensuring all electronic waste gets recycled properly. We look forward to helping you regain your space! Watch what we do.
On the last Saturday in April, Rebuilding Together Omaha's "Rebuilding Day Program" had 30-40 teams with over 1,000 volunteers performing repairs on homes in the older part of Omaha. 1-800-GOT-JUNK?'s Omaha franchise was just one of these many teams dedicated to helping those in need, including elderly or disabled home owners whose homes had fallen into disrepair.
While the rest of the teams of volunteers were busy doing work like painting, cleaning, repairs to bathrooms, kitchens, porches and stairs; 1-800-GOT-JUNK? was doing what it does best - junk removal Omaha. Our two truck teams were able to visit 14 homes throughout the day, and removed over 11,000 lbs of “junk” from the 14 homes. We were able to recycle over 2 tons of green waste (shrubs, woods, concrete, etc.) and metal from what we collected and made 4 trips to the landfill with the other 7,000 lbs of junk.
Rebuilding Day is a great way to give something back to the community by helping a homeowner who would otherwise not get the help needed to allow them be independent by staying in their home. 1-800-GOT-JUNK?'s Omaha franchise can't wait until next year's Rebuilding Day. Hope to see you there!
