More Details

Hi, I'm Tom Delaney, and I've owned my Las Vegas SW 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise for just over a year. For the past 13 years, I worked in the golf business in Las Vegas at various golf courses. I got my start at the Desert Rose Golf Club. The Desert Rose was a great place to begin my career because I did everything from cleaning golf carts, to selling hot dogs in the snack bar, to hand watering greens in the 120 degree heat. The Wildhorse Golf Club was my next stop which is where I honed my customer service skills. The Primm Valley Golf Club, home to the Tom Fazio designed Lakes and Desert Course, was where I had a chance to practice and perfect everything I had learned in my previous golf experience.

In July of 2006, my wife gave birth to our first child. This got me thinking that it was time to stop working for someone else and start doing something that could provide a future for my son.

It is funny how different junk is from golf, but also how much translates. Instead of tee times I look at junk leads. When I worked at Primm Valley Golf Course we received a ranking of number three in the country for best customer service in a survey by Golf Digest that involved over 5000 courses. Now, I take those same customer service strategies and make sure each one of our junk customer feels like they got world class customer service.

I am thrilled to be a part of recycling and cleaning up in Las Vegas. In addition to recycling, we donate to Goodwill of Southern Nevada, the Southern Nevada Blind Center, and the local Salvation Army just to name a few. We are members of many associations including the Better Business Bureau, Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, Henderson Chamber of Commerce, the Social Register of Las Vegas, and more.

Our office is located near the cross streets of Sunset and Eastern across from Sunset Park and east of McCarran Airport.

Raising Money For the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foun

Our Las Vegas 1-800-GOT-JUNK? junk removal teams try to get involved as much as we can. This year we hosted a golf tournament in April to raise money for the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation. Last year we had 14 people start the day with blue wigs as we raised money for the 17th annual Aids Walk Las Vegas put on by Aid for Aids of Nevada (AFAN).

Junk Haulers Help Food Drive

Just before the holidays we teamed with Mix 94.1 and the city of Mission in Las Vegas to help in the Four Corners Food Drive. This was a four day event to raise food donations. We donated manpower and our junk trucks to transport the food. We're proud to say the event generated over six full truck loads of food for the city!
