I joined the 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Kansas City's team in the summer of 2005. It was my third year was training for the upcoming football season at my local University, when a close friend of mine introduced me to the Franchise Partner at the time. The Kansas City operation was relatively small at the time with only two trucks, and 3 employees. After my first day on the job I was hooked, the ability we had as a truck team to influence our customers day was amazing, and the happiness the customers showed after the work was completed was very fulfilling.
After spending an entire summer working hard and wowing customer, I went back to school, and changed my major to organization leadership, due to being inspired by what I learned over my first summer with 1-800-GOT-JUNK? When the next summer rolled around I was ready to get back to work, but this time i brought 6 of my friends from my football team, and we had an awesome summer growing the business, and working very hard to WOW our customers.
After graduation I was offered a full time position as Operations manager, within a year I was promoted to General Manager. Over the past nine years with Franchise Partner Tyler Staszak we have grown from a having 2 trucks and 3 employees to having a fleet of 9 trucks, and over 20 employees during our peak season.
We are so grateful to be located in a community like Kansas City, our City has really appreciated our 12 years of service, and supported us to help us grow every year since we have opened our doors. We pride ourselves in exceeding our customers expectations every job, by providing friendly uniformed drivers, upfront pricing, clean shiny truck, and on-time service. Our people are the difference, in order to continue to grow we invest heavily in the development of our team, by doing daily training, setting goals, and holding each other accountable.
Oh, and we have A LOT of fun, we have company golf outings, BBQ's, and events on top of our charitable initiatives to ensure we promote a culture of Fun, Family, and Development.
