Our Toronto junk removal team will handle almost anything, from old furniture and appliances to garden waste, mattress disposal, electronic waste and renovation debris. We will even do garbage pick up if you can't wait for City garbage collection services. We are also an excellent alternative to dumpster rentals in Toronto. Plus, we do all the loading and cleanup, wherever the items are in your home or business – and unlike your household garbage removal, you don't even need to get it to the curb!
People often ask ‘what happens to my junk when you take it away?' We make every effort possible to recycle or donate furniture, household items, scrap metal and all kinds of different junk that we remove from homes and businesses. We work with Toronto charities and recycling centers in the GTA to reuse and recycle the junk we haul away before we take items to the landfill. Our goal is to be more than just a junk removal Toronto service – we want to be a responsible and caring company, too.
All you need to do is book an appointment. When our team arrives, simply point out all the items you need taken away and they will quote you an upfront, all‐inclusive price. Then you just have to watch the magic happen! You don’t need to lift a finger – our junk removal Toronto staff will do everything from lifting to loading. They’ll even handle all of the cleanup when it’s all finished.
1‐800‐GOT‐JUNK Toronto is a leading junk removal service dedicated to providing you with the most satisfying experience possible. To learn more or to set up an appointment, call us at 1‐800‐468‐5865 or book online and save up to $10!

I joined 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Toronto in 2003, having just completed the second year of my undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto. I heard about 1-800-GOT-JUNK? from my best friend, who like me, just returned home from school, and like me desperately needed a summer job.
1-800-GOT-JUNK? Toronto was relatively unknown in 2003 and the junk removal industry was still in its infancy. I remember customers being blown away by our service - clean cut college kids who came to your home or office and removed anything and everything from wherever it was. The WOW factor came from the way we carried out the work: with a smile.
We were having fun helping our customers overcome their obstacles and that attitude was infectious for everyone involved. From digging out cinderblocks, to clearing out movie shoots, to doing all-day house clear outs, every minute of every day was different – which made junking such a great summer job.
Being so enamored with the junk brand and the people running it, I made a push to stay on with the business in a different capacity after finishing school. I started by taking on some administration work, which expanded to a junior operations role learning how to manage the logistics that supported a multi-truck operation.
Working in a small business, learning has come from all angles in the years since – how to market and sell your brand, how to support growth through training and development and how to sustain a work culture that rewards exceptional customer service.
Although junk removal as an industry has grown leaps and bounds since I joined in 2003, I believe our brand continues to set the pace based on our commitment through the organization to exceed our customer’s expectations every step of the way. I’m proud to work for an organization that lives in breaths this commitment.

Yard Sale for the Cure is back. Toronto’s biggest yard sale returns on Saturday May 23, 2015. Hosted by 1-800-GOT-JUNK? at Kew Gardens from 8AM - 2PM and Trinity Bellwoods Park from 10AM - 7PM, there are thousands of quality, gently-used items on sale. Furniture, decor, sporting goods, and much more. All proceeds go to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
Since becoming involved with the event almost a decade ago, 1-800-GOT-JUNK? has helped raise over $181,000. This year, to help raise even more funds for CBCF, 1-800-GOT-JUNK? and CBCF have partnered with six Ontario-based designers to create one-of-a-kind upcycled pieces that will be auctioned off at the Trinity Bellwoods Park sale.
Amanda Forrest (amandaforrest.com), well-known for her appearances on The Marilyn Denis Show, is one of the designers who took on the challenge to create a unique and stylish piece in the name of charity. The other talented designers are Lindsey Gerrish (recreated.ca), Melissa DiRenzo (thesweetescape.ca), Staci Edwards (switchstudio.ca), Janet Hamilton (paintitlikenew.com), and Melissa Davis (melissadavis.com).
1-800-GOT-JUNK? is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, and it’s made me think about our own big milestone here in Toronto. May 26, 2014 marks the 15th anniversary of 1-800-GOT-JUNK?’s first franchise, here in Greater Toronto.
I still remember coming home after my first day – I had two jobs on the schedule, did them both myself in my brand new truck, and could NOT have been happier! Since then we have enjoyed continuous growth throughout the GTA. We’ve grown from one truck and no employees when we first started in 1999 to where we are today. Now we have 23 trucks, more than 60 employees, and a management team of eight.
We’ve done over 180,000 junk pickups in Toronto over the past 15 years. I have many things to be thankful for, and many people to thank for the success of 1-800-GOT-JUNK? here in Greater Toronto. I’d like to thank Brian Scudamore for awarding me the first franchise in the 1-800-G0T-JUNK? franchise system. I’d like to thank friends and family for their support, particularly my brother (who financed the venture!) and my wife and four children who support me every day: you are the joy of my life.
I’d also like to thank my leadership team, most of whom started as Truck Team Members and have been with me for more than 10 years at this great journey.
But there are two groups I’d like to thank above all others. First, the men and women who have served our clients as Truck Team Members over the years – you have been, and continue to be, the backbone of this company. As the people responsible for providing outstanding service to each and every one of our clients, your dedication has been the primary driver of our growth. And finally, I’d like to thank the tens of thousands of realtors, property managers, contractors, businesses, and homeowners who have chosen our service over the past fifteen years. It has been a pleasure working with you.
My team and I look forward to continuing to serve you for another 15 years and beyond!
This year, 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Toronto is planning its biggest Yard Sale for the Cure to date. We plan to fill seven 50 foot trailers with amazing items we find on our daily escapades removing junk in and around Toronto and the GTA. We will have enough treasures to fill KEW Gardens in the Beaches and the south side of Trinity Bellwoods Park at Queen St West and Strachan Ave.
Along the way, we will be posting some of the great items we find on 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Toronto's Facebook Page and on Twitter at #gotjunkyardsale
We will be tweeting live at the event with updates on some of our best items!
Our goal this year is to raise a whopping $50,000!
We need your help to do it – so come out to the event to find some treasures, and know that your money is going to a great cause.
Yard Sale for the Cure 2014
Date: Saturday, May 24, 2014
Time: 8:30 am.
Where: Trinity Bellwoods Park and KEW Gardens
In addition to hosting the event in May, 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Toronto will be manning the Canadian Breast Cancer booth at the National Home Show in Toronto starting on March 14th through March 23rd as a build-up to the event. Attendees of the show will have the opportunity to bid on, and take home, some of our greatest finds with all funds received going to breast cancer research.
Information will also be on hand as to how to start your own yard sale and turn the stuff you don’t need into a cure for breast cancer.
Rachel Smith, a resident of the Beaches community in Toronto (and just a few blocks from our office), started Yard Sale for the Cure in 2005 shortly after winning her 9-month battle with breast cancer. The event was created based on the idea that the stuff you don’t need will help find a cure for breast cancer.
Like most families, many of us at 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Toronto have been touched by breast cancer and the battle that ensues for survival. 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Toronto’s operations manager, Ashton Lubman’s, mother is a breast cancer survivor.
Given what 1-800-GOT-JUNK? does each and every day, it just made sense to partner with Rachel Smith and in turn our customers, to collect items and host one of the city’s largest Yard Sale for the Cure events.
Our first event took place in May, 2006 in the driveway of a community church. To prepare for that event, we kept the best items we picked up the previous week and sold them to passersby’s for a total of $5,161. We have participated in the Yard Sale every year since, each year expanding our sale and improving our fundraising efforts.
Over the past 8 years, we have fundraised over $150,000!
1-800-GOT-JUNK? Toronto raised a record breaking $37,000 this year for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation during our 8th annual Yard Sale for the Cure on May 25 at Kew Gardens and Trinity Bellwoods Park. This brings the total amount we've raised over the past eight years to nearly $150,000!

We're excited to announce that we are opening a new company called You Move Me in Toronto. You Move Me Toronto is your new favourite local movers in Toronto and area. We specialize in inner-city moves within Toronto and the GTA.
We're really excited about getting in to the local moving business, and can't wait to bring the level of quality, professionalism, and service people have already come to expect from us to a moving company.
"The two men who came to my house were polite, professional, pleasant and hard working. They accommodated everything that was asked of them and wound up doing more than was expected. They were on time and helpful in sorting out what they could take with them and what could be left for another pickup. I would not only use them again I would recommend the company to anyone I know who needs such a service."
- Larry Crackower, Toronto, Ontario.
