The Monteregie Franchise of 1-800-GOT-JUNK? was a pioneer in the province of Quebec. It started in September 2006. The local owner is Gilles Dubé. Mr. Dubé was reading an article in USA today while traveling on a business trip, and that’s what started the whole story. Before becoming a junk expert Mr. Dube was a sale's rep for a hardwood floor company selling in the USA. From that point, he got in contact with the head office of 1-800-GOT-JUNK? in Vancouver and got started a few months later.
He traded suits and ties for a blue uniform and a wig, clean shiny trucks, and off he went!
You can see his team waving at you on busy street or toward the bridge to Montreal in the morning in Longueuil on Rolland Therrien boulevard, or St-Charles street, on Victoria in Saint-Lambert, on Mortagne in Boucherville, or on Tachereau boulevard at any time of day.
From day one, there was demand for a junk removal service like 1-800-GOT-JUNK?’s. Several other franchises started in the area, expanding the brand’s presence.
Today, in the greater Montreal area, more than 25 trucks serve customers every day. There are more than 175 franchises total in the 1-800-GOT-JUNK? system with more than 1,000 trucks servicing Canada, the US, and Australia.
