Hi, I’m Christopher Kirk, and I've owned and operated the 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Connecticut S.W. franchise since February of 2004. Before opening my junk removal business, I was employed in marketing by several major corporations including the Fort James Corporation (formerly located in Norwalk, now owned by Georgia Pacific), and most recently, Kraft Foods in Rye Brook, NY. After losing my job at Kraft I started searching for a business that would offer independence along with strong growth potential. I discovered 1-800-GOT-JUNK? through an article in Fortune Magazine and the more I learned about the junk hauling company, the more I realized that they fit the bill perfectly.
Since opening, we've grown at double-digit rates by providing customers with a high level of customer service in a field that has never been known for customer service. I've also found tremendous personal satisfaction by being able to directly help people and to immediately see the results of our work. We’ve helped families reclaim much needed square footage in their residences, we’ve helped ease the transition for seniors moving into assisted living, and we've helped hundreds of local businesses regain focus and productivity by giving them back a clean, uncluttered workspace. My focus is and always will be customer service. We strive to make the task of junk removal a quick, painless experience for all members of our residential and business community.
