Hi, we are Cliff and Mary Brahm, the 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise partners for Cincinnati, Dayton, and Northern Kentucky. Our 1-800-GOT-JUNK? operations have been proudly decluttering the area since 2003. With each day, we continue to “wow” old and new customers alike. With 1-800-GOT-JUNK? offices located in Sharonville and Dayton, we are able to service Cincinnati, Dayton, and Northern Kentucky. If you see one of our many trucks driving around the area, be sure to give us a wave!
In an effort to keep our planet “green”, we donate and recycle as many items as we possibly can. In Dayton, we work with the Montgomery County Material Reuse Facility (McMrf). In fact, we were the recipients of an award for being a major contributor in 2009. In Cincinnati, we have teamed up with St. Vincent De Paul in an effort to donate as many items that we can. We have an on-site St. Vincent De Paul donation trailer that fills up weekly with a wide variety of items. We also donate to other nonprofit organizations in Dayton, Cincinnati, and Northern Kentucky. We made a commitment when we opened our junk removal business to change the face of junk removal and hauling in this area and to become the industry leader in a professional, customer orientated, full-service business. That face has a name: 1-800-GOT-JUNK?!
Over the years, we have become more and more involved in the community. We help sponsor events, such as the Noon Optimists annual golf outing. This event generates funds for the kids at the Children Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio. We also help the St. Rita’s festival in Cincinnati, by providing workers to help clear the trash bins and load them into our trucks in order to keep it looking clean. We help the ZONTA Club of Cincinnati by removing any unsold items after their sale, and donating them to charity. We help with the set up and tear down of the Cincinnati Blues Festival too. Lastly, we are the official junk removal service of the Cincinnati Reds, and the official junk removal service of the Cincinnati Bengals radio network!
Our favorite part of owning a 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise, is meeting new people and having the opportunity to provide our great service. Seeing their faces and reactions after we are finished is a constant reminder of why we do what we do. In The Community
1-800-GOT-JUNK? Makes a Difference in Haiti
On January 18, 2010, 1-800-GOT-JUNK? teamed up with the Cincinnati Reds and the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center to organize a food and clothing drive for the people of Haiti after the devastating earthquake. With the help of the wonderful people of Cincinnati, we were able to donate six full truckloads of clothes, cases of water, and nonperishable food items. All donations were taken to Matthew 25 Ministries where they were then transported to Haiti. We were thrilled to help out and be a part of that great effort.We Commit To Recycling In A Big Way
Our commitment to supporting the environment inspires our Cincinnati 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise to recycle up to 60% of what we pick up. One organization we donate to is recognized nationally for its innovative approach to community recycling, McMRF a materials reuse facility. McMRF accepts donations that are warehoused in a retail like setting. Non-profit organizations can then “shop for free” at McMRF for items they can use within their organizations. Office furniture, paper products and much more may then find their way to a preschool daycare or children’s art class.
Earth Day
On Saturday, April 19, 2008 1-800-GOT-JUNK? participated in a corporate-wide event to collect electronic waste for Earth Day. With one of our trucks parked at Tri-County Mall we provided a free opportunity for anyone to dispose of all kinds of old computers, printers and monitors. Helping to make the community aware of the hazard of improperly disposing of this kind of junk, we collected enough items to fill a truck which we then recycled or disposed of properly.

- What’s the most unusual item you have picked up? Hands down, it would be the Polar Bear head. Well, it’s not quite as bad as it sounds. The head, prepared by a taxidermist and mounted for display, was ultimately donated to an organization that displays science exhibits.
