1-800-GOT-JUNK? got its start in Vancouver, when university student Brian Scudamore encountered a tight summer job market in Vancouver and started a junk removal service called The Rubbish Boys.

Hi, my name is Bob Hartl, and I own the Western New York 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise. I started my junk removal business in 2000 and have been hauling junk from residential homes and businesses in the Buffalo area ever since. Our 1-800-GOT-JUNK? junk trucks service all of Western New York including Hamburg, Buffalo, Cheektowaga, Amherst, Clarence, Tonawanda, Lockport, and Niagara Falls. There has not been a dull day since starting my 1-800-GOT-JUNK? business. Our largest junk clean out to date happened this year with the removal of furniture and debris from the Donovan State office building to help make way for the future development of the Buffalo waterfront.

After being in this junk hauling business for several years I became affiliated with the University of Buffalo through the CEL program. Teaming up with local entrepreneurs has taken my junk removal business to new heights. We recycle and donate as much junk as possible and have made donations to many local charities, including the Buffalo City Mission, St. Lukes Mission of Mercy, and Buffalo's Harvest House. The Buffalo 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise is involved in helping the city clean up local parks and waterways through the Keep America Clean program. Everyday is exciting, helping fellow Western New Yorkers solve their junk removal needs!

Buffalo's 1-800-GOT-JUNK? office is located in Blasdell, NY. In the southtowns about five miles south of downtown Buffalo, we are located in part of the former steel plant just outside of Lackawanna. Our office location gives us easy access to service the southtowns, downtown Buffalo, and quick access to the I90 for service to Cheektowaga, Amherst, and the northtowns.
