Hi, I'm Jay Montgomery and I am your local owner and operator of 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Denver. Staring my junk removal business in September 2003, I was the first 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise partner in Colorado. After starting my 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise, I became a member of the South Metro Chamber of Commerce and value the visibility and networking opportunities that the South Metro Chamber brings my business.
My 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise currently services about 60% of metropolitan Denver from Ft. Lupton in the north, to Castle Rock in the south, up to Conifer in the west and to most points on the east side of the metro area. We also cover downtown Denver and all cities east, south and south east of downtown Denver. I started with one 1-800-GOT-JUNK? truck and one employee and I now operate six junk trucks and have 15 employees on the team. We make it a priority to recycle and donate as much as we can on a regular basis.
I am proud to say we have recycled over 900,000 lbs of metal since our 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise opened and items such as cardboard and paper also get recycled. We have dropped off countless truckloads of furniture and other items to donate to local charities such as Savers, Goodwill, Salvation Army, and ARC. Our clients are happy that we do all the work and that their items will find a second life in some way shape or form.
We are a very visible company with trucks parked at various locations throughout our territory. Our 1-800-GOT-JUNK? trucks are centrally located for our truck teams as well as to help our clients see us to let them know we are there to help when they need us. People driving by Parker and Arapahoe, University and Dry Creek, Parker and Iliff, Smoky Hill and Buckley, Colorado and Alamada, and others will often see our trucks parked with our crew waving. The next time you see us out there with our blue wigs on and waving, please honk smile or wave - we love to try and make people happy!
The 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Denver office is located at approximately the intersection of Iliff and Quebec. Evans when it crosses over Quebec heading east turns into Iliff. We are a couple of blocks south of Iliff off Trenton. There is a large Comcast cable building and a Sonic drive through at the intersection of Iliff and Trenton and we are south of that in an industrial park.

Hi, we're Lorn Powell and Lilly Wallace siblings, local residents and franchise owners of Boulder's 1-800-GOT-JUNK?. We opened our junk service franchise together in 2005. While our office is located in Boulder, our blue shiny trucks are moving offices all along the Front Range including Superior, Louisville, Lafayette, Longmont, Loveland, Berthoud, Greeley, Windsor and Fort Collins.
Coming from a family of hard working entrepreneurs from the mid-west, we ran with our collective dream of being self-employed and providing solid, respectful, satisfying jobs for people in our community. Lilly started working for 1-800-GOT-JUNK? in Michigan as a truck team member. In 2004 she moved to Colorado and the following year, when the opportunity to purchase a 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise in Boulder appeared, she immediately called Lorn with the exciting plan to build this business together. Within two months Lorn had moved to Boulder and was living next door to Lilly on Foothills Highway where the siblings started their family owned business.
Over the last two years, our Boulder franchise has employed dozens of students from several universities on the Front Range including Naropa University, University of Colorado, Colorado State University, Front Range Community College and University of Northern Colorado.
While the truck teams specialize in full service junk hauling they can also be found waving to cars on busy intersections and walking down the Pearl Street Mall and at the Farmer's Market waving to people spreading 1-800-GOT-JUNK? cheer in their blue wigs! We meet up with the team and join in on the daily marketing actives and wave on Canyon and Folsom in Boulder and Mullberry and College in Fort Collins.
Our 1-800-GOT-JUNK? employees do so much more than haul away junk they provide valuable services such as sorting through the items removed and donating to charities and second hand stores like Ares Thrift, Savers, and Hospice Thrift. The team removes items that can be recycled and delivers them to the Boulder recycle station on 63rd. Our team also takes all reusable building materials to the ReSource yards on 63rd in Boulder and on College Ave. in Fort Collins. For our 1-800-GOT-JUNK? clients the situation is a win-win; they not only get their space back but they can also get a receipt for their tax deductible donations! People living in Colorado on the Front Range want to keep their environment beautiful and all of the people employed at the Boulder franchise care about their environment. Whenever possible items removed from homes, offices, and businesses are donated or recycled. The Boulder franchise is active in the community and proud members of the Boulder Area Chamber of Commerce, Boulder Area Realtor Association (BARA), Boulder Area Renters Housing Association (BARHA), and the National Organization of Professional Organizers (NAPO).
For the past two years our 1-800-GOT-JUNK? team has volunteered at the Bolder Boulder 10k Road Race and helped clean-up after the famous event. One of our 1-800-GOT-JUNK? trucks was recently spotted wearing a matching leprechauns hat with truck team members at the annual Fort Collins St. Patrick's Day parade. Our team really loves being a part of the community!
Our main office is located at 2510 47th St. Suite 209A in Boulder Colorado. We are just a few blocks from Pearl St. with a stunning view of the Flatirons.

Hi, I'm Nicholas Wood and I'm the local franchise owner for 1-800-GOT-JUNK? junk removal in Denver North. We have been in business for just seven months, taking over the business from the previous franchisee who served customers since 2004. I also own 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchises for junk removal in Seattle, WA and junk removal in Hagerstown, MD and we are happy to be growing 1-800-GOT-JUNK? across the country. Everybody has junk!
Hopefully you have seen our 1-800-GOT-JUNK? trucks parked around the Denver North area. I'm sure if you live in Thornton, Westminster, Arvada, Northglenn, Broomfield, Federal Heights or Wheat Ridge 1-800-GOT-JUNK? has done a junk hauling job for one of your neighbors.
We currently service our local customers with four junk trucks for Denver junk removal. We are a full service junk removal company – I hear customers call it rubbish removal, trash removal, or hauling services – if you don't need it, and it's taking up space that you need in your home or office, then call us and we'll remove it for you. We can take away just about anything, and we've seen a lot of junk: old fridges and mattresses in Arvada, tired ovens and garden debris in Broomfield, broken microwaves and outdated computers in Westminster, worn furniture and construction waste in Thornton and more. We've removed over 10,000 tons of junk! We also do our best to recycle and donate as much as possible. We take pride in giving back to our local Denver community!

“I would unhesitatingly recommend 1-800-GOT-JUNK? for all of your hauling needs. They are willing to go above and beyond to make your job as a Realtor easier. I have used them for both personal and professional hauling jobs. They show up on time and always call first, which is a real boon for a busy realtor. The professional demeanor and immaculate appearance of the "junk haulers” and their trucks also make them people your Buyers and Sellers will be happy to see!”-- Susan, Broker/Owner, Keller Williams Realty, Denver, May 2004
“What a find 1-800-GOT-JUNK? has been! I recently had an elderly couple move out of their house before their Estate Sale. After the sale, there was a ton of "junk" still left behind. I had a 2-day window between the sale and the closing, and couldn't depend on miscellaneous pick-up services to get everything out. It was easy to schedule 1-800-GOT-JUNK? for a specific day and time. The crew was the most professional I'd come across in years - they worked hard and quick and their costs were fair. They definitely made my life easier, and I look forward to any opportunity to use them again!”-- Ann, Realtor, Denver, Jan 2004
“I just wanted to write to tell you that today Tyler and Kayla came to my house to remove some 'junk' and 'stuff' which was no longer welcome around here. They were completely delightful...very efficient, very considerate, very flexible. I have been aware of 1-800-Got Junk? for some time, having seen your trucks in the area and having gotten your door hangers. I looked the company up on the internet, and was quite impressed with the story behind the creation of same. I just wanted you to know that my experience was entirely positive, and I will definitely call again, the next time I have significant piles of junk/stuff. I also think that your recycling efforts and your donations to various charitable organizations...from other people's junk/stuff...are a real plus. Thank you so much.”-- Susan, Denver, Jun 2007

Junk hauling is normally a dirty business, but 1-800-GOT-JUNK? challenges that notion by bringing professional junk removal to the Aurora, Colorado area. Jay Montgomery, owner of 1-800-GOT-JUNK? in Aurora CO, has done junk pickups at garages, households, and everywhere in between. Read Jay's story about how he brings professional junk removal to his city.
Got Junk? Trash hauling entrepreneurs hope Coloradans do! Because one man's trash is another man's treasure. 60% of all the junk collected is recycled or donated to local charities. Some of the "junk" has included school and office furniture, kitchen appliances, and textbooks.
Every summer, Boulder suffers from illegal dumping of junk and trash left behind by University of Colorado students fresh from finals week. Furniture (like couches), clothes, and appliances get off-loaded on the streets and in front of thrift stores. 1-800-GOT-JUNK? helps University of Colorado students get rid of their junk after finals week by offering student discounts. The Boulder franchise donates gently-used junk to Savers thrift store and helps them keep the end of the semester chaos under control.
1-800-GOT-JUNK? in Boulder is now able to service the waste removal needs of Greeley and Fort Collins on a full-time basis, with the addition of a third junk truck to the fleet.
Lilly Wallace started out in the junk removal business as a junk truck driver for the former 1-800-GOT-JUNK? owner in Boulder. After Wallace and her brother purchased the Boulder-based trash-hauling franchise, she began marketing her junk removal services to both homes and businesses. Wallace's 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise cleans up trash for contractors, realtors, and storage units, among other clients.
The Centennial Citizen wrote about our junk removal services in December of 2005. Being a strong local paper, we were excited to get this great article written about our 1-800-GOT-JUNK? junk removal service. We were even more excited to have Paul McCartney quoted as well. Read about how we carry out worn-out furniture and refrigerators from our customers' homes, helping them to move on with their lives.
For several years, Jay Montgomery's 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise has participated in the St. Patrick's Day parade in Downtown Denver. Jay says, "Our junk removers decorate the junk hauling trucks, wear blue wigs, distribute candy and most of all have a great time doing it. We put on some St. Patrick's day decorations and make the junk removal trucks look nice and pretty." A great time is had by all!
Here we are at the Fort Collins St. Patrick's Day parade. Our junk pickup truck had its very own St. Patty's Day hat made out of a large trash can and a few other items of junk scavenged from our junk removals! The team wore matching hats with our famous blue wigs and cruised the streets of Fort Collins handing out candy and Junkbucks.

Jay Montgomery and his wife Stacy, owners of the 1-800-GOT-JUNK? junk-hauling business in Denver, have been volunteers for the Make A Wish Foundation for a number of years. From 2003-2006 they were the co-chairs of the Make A Wish half marathon and 5k run at Cherry Creek State Park. Jay and Stacy say, "We both like to run and this was a great way for us to stay active with the foundation."

You can find our 1-800-GOT-JUNK? team attending events in Colorado such as the Boulder Creek Festival, the Greeley Home and Garden Show and many Boulder Chamber of Commerce events! We love getting out and meeting our community. In the photo below, owner Lorn Powell is advertising his junk removal services at the Greeley Home and Garden Show in 2007.

Brother and Sister team Lorn Powell and Lilly Wallace attend the western themed 102nd annual Fort Collins Chamber Dinner.
