We take away large items that are too big to throw away in your regular trash like furniture, appliances, exercise machines, carpet and recyclable materials like computers, electronics, scrap metal and cardboard. We remove construction and renovation materials (think old toilets, sinks, and cabinets), swing sets, old tools and sports equipment. Hi, I'm Rick Galliher and I own the local junk removal Franchise for Fairfax and Virginia North. I started my junk hauling business in 2003 with 1 truck, and have grown to a 7 day a week operation, with 6 trucks, and over 10,000 completed junk removal jobs to date. Prior to hauling junk, I worked in heavy, highway construction, working on Dulles Toll Road, Dulles Airport and the Herndon Park and Ride projects among others. We haul household junk, appliances, hot tubs, swing sets and all kinds of furniture - from a single couch to multiple truckloads. We tear down back yard sheds too. If you are downsizing or clearing out an estate or a foreclosure, we can handle that. I have served on the 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Franchise Advisory Committee in 2004 - 2005 representing more than 100 franchise partners needs across in North America. I joined Entrepreneur's Organization in 2004 and served as a case study for business students at George Washington University in 2007. Before joining 1-800-GOT-JUNK? I worked overseas as a consultant for Andersen Consulting, then rode the dot-com wave in San Francisco during the height of the internet boom. I returned to my home state of Maryland to open 1-800-GOT-JUNK? in 2003. I also co-own 1-800-GOT-JUNK? junk removal in Brooklyn and Queens, NY.

I got started in the junk removal business after I saw one of those shiny, blue 1-800-GOT-JUNK? trucks on my way home from work one day. The name was so easy to remember and it made such an impression on me that when I got home I searched online for information on the company to see what they were all about - and I was hooked.
