What We Take

1-800-GOT-JUNK? got its start in Vancouver, when university student Brian Scudamore encountered a tight summer job market in Vancouver and started a junk removal service called The Rubbish Boys.

What We Do

We are 1-800-GOT-JUNK?, providing full-service junk removal to downtown Pittsburgh, Squirrel Hill, Shadyside, Cranberry, Wexford, and Mt. Lebanon just to name a few areas. If you have junk that needs to be removed, you need to give us a call. We are your local junk hauling experts, removing items from inside your house, outside or at the office. No job is too big or too small. We take everything from old appliances and household items to yard waste and construction debris. If you don’t need it, we can take it. We also recycle and donate a large portion of what we pick up. We are always looking at ways to give back to our community. When it comes down to it, we are all about solutions. Donation Drives In Pittsburgh

1-800-GOT-JUNK? at Pittsburghs Donation Drive

We were invited to participate in our very first GO Month event in January of 2008. We partnered up with NAPO Pittsburgh to hold a donation drive for gently used medical equipment. All medical equipment was donated to Global Links, a non-profit organization that donates unused medical supplies and gently used medical equipment to developing countries. The weather was cold, but many people still had warmth in their hearts as they stopped by to donate things that may have ended up being thrown away otherwise. The whole purpose for GO Month is to Get Organized. By providing people with a charitable way to get rid of this medical equipment that was collecting dust, they were able to help others, and get their space back! Those are two things that we are very passionate about.

Hanging Out In Pittsburgh

We plan events for our employees every year. We work hard, so unwinding and relaxing properly is crucial to recharging one's batteries. This year, we're going to get everyone together, toss on our black & gold, and head down to PNC Park to watch a Pittsburgh Pirates game. We might be caught wearing some bright blue wigs as well! This summer, to make sure we don't overheat, we're going to Springdale to enjoy some treats from Glen's Custard and take on a round of mini golf. We also have our annual holiday party to look forward to, which is held each year at Dave & Buster's in the Waterfront.
