1-800-GOT-JUNK? got its start in Vancouver, when university student Brian Scudamore encountered a tight summer job market in Vancouver and started a junk removal service called The Rubbish Boys.

Hi, my name is Miles Maynard, and I am the Franchise owner of 1-800-GOT-JUNK? of the Piedmont Triad. We are locally owned and operated and we’ve provided professional junk removal service here since 2005.  I came to this junk hauling business after serving as an Air Force officer and working for several multi-national corporations over the past 25 years.
We are a truly customer service centric company, a huge contrast to the poor and impersonal service experiences that many of us endure on a daily basis.
Over 65% of the junk we pick up gets donated or recycled and we recycle 100% of Electronic waste.  1-800-GOT-JUNK? in the Piedmont Triad donates to numerous charitable organizations in the community such as Habitat for Humanity, Goodwill Industries, The Salvation Army, and the Barnabas Network. We also volunteer for the   Adopt-a-Street Program where we clean a stretch of roadway throughout the year in the Triad.
We work with a large assortment of  residential, commercial, and municipal clients including such organizations as Hanesbrands, local Realtors, Cities of Winston Salem and Greensboro, and Truliant Federal Credit Union to name a few. In fact, we've completed well over 3,700 jobs since opening in 2005.
The best part of owning the 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise in the Piedmont Triad is that it affords us the opportunity to live and raise a family in such a beautiful place and I am proud to run a business that contributes to the economic growth of our community.
