Keep Austin Beautiful
1-800-GOT-JUNK? Austin has been a sponsor and volunteer of Keep Austin Beautiful for the last four years. Our trash-hauling crews and trucks go all over Austin picking up junk items that neighborhood volunteers have collected from their areas. All items are taken to a centralized location where the junk is sorted and as much as possible is recycled. Keep Austin Beautiful holds an event for all volunteers featuring music, food, and many other activities. It is the premier "junk pick up" effort in the city and is held annually.
Picking Up Renovation Debris
After the Hunters hired contractors to help remodel their North Austin home, they needed to find a way to clean up their renovation debris. They saw a shiny blue junk truck with 1-800-GOT-JUNK? on the side and called the number. Shortly afterwards, two friendly junk haulers came by their property and hauled away everything. They even swept up the dog hair afterwards!
