Hello! I'm Jason Seguin and I own and operate 1-800-GOT-JUNK? in Edmonton. Before starting my junk hauling business I worked as a heavy duty mechanic in Alberta's busy oil patch. After many cold nights fixing machines in the field I realized that I needed a change. After looking into a number of different businesses, the opportunity to buy 1-800-GOT-JUNK? was presented to me. After doing some research on the junk hauling company I fell in love with its values and mission. I then became a 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise owner and I haven’t looked back since. We first started removing junk and developing our business in North West Edmonton out to St. Albert. In recent years, we have been able to expand our rubbish removal services to Sherwood Park, Millwoods, and Old Strathcona. Over the years we have reached out to the community by getting involved with organizations like Habitat for Humanity, Santa's Anonymous, Yard Sale for the Cure, as well as local women's shelters.
I ran the trash business out of my house for the first five years, but now have a office at 15608-116 Ave and have been operating there for the past three years. In the beginning we used a lot of 1-800-GOT-JUNK? signs to gain exposure now we use more mainstream advertising like radio and direct mail to gain exposure, but that doesn't mean you won't see us doing our blue wig waves off of 170th Street or other busy routes. We are very excited about servicing the junk removal needs of our greater Edmonton community for a very long time!
Our Edmonton office is conveniently located just two minutes south of the Yellowhead Trail one block off of 156 Street. We're only 10 minutes from West Edmonton Mall and 10 minutes from Edmonton's University of Alberta. You may also see our trucks in various locations like Calgary Trail or just off the Whitemud, or our junk team outside of Rexall place dressed in blue supporting our Edmonton Oilers.

Yard Sale for the Cure
Last year we held an event that was a huge success - "Yard Sale for the Cure". We raised over $2,300 for Breast Cancer research by having a yard sale with quality goods that we had picked up on junk jobs. Clients were so happy to know that their "junk" was helping raise money for Breast Cancer. The saying is really true, "One person's junk is another person's treasure."
