Hello, I’m Tom Maryschak, owner of 1-800-GOT-JUNK? in Victoria. I took ownership of this junk hauling franchise in late 2007, and since then our Victoria office has undergone a complete restructuring to be able to serve you better. We now have a larger fleet, a new General Manager, and a new team of customer service focused Truck Team Members. Together, our rubbish removal business has over 25 years experience with customer service, and over 10 years in moving, hauling and logistics. We are focused on setting new standards for the industry and making us the first choice for anyone who requires junk removal. Local Events
2010 Gorge Waterway Cleanup
Participating in the clean-up is a great way to make a difference to our local environment. Each year, more than two tonnes of debris is retrieved from the Gorge shoreline and waters. The result is an improved habitat for local wildlife and a more beautiful area for people to enjoy.
Volunteers from schools, local businesses and non-profit organizations will be involved in this year’s clean-up as well as residents from across Greater Victoria. Sponsors such as Tim Hortons, 1-800-GOT-JUNK?, The Ocean, JACK FM, the CRD, Victoria Harbour Ferry. Ellice Recycle, Thrifty Foods, Canadian Tire, Butler Brothers and Black Press all play a part in making this a successful event.
Event Headquarters will be set-up at two locations: Waterfront Crescent near the Galloping Goose Trail. (follow the signs), and Gorge Park. Clean-up crews will be assigned to the sections from Bay Street to the Tillicum Street Bridge.

Victoria's 1-800-GOT-JUNK? team gives back
Our Truck Teams are always looking for creative ways to give back to our community. When it came to our attention last year, our Truck Team Members all embraced the BCSPCA “Paws for a Cause.” Our staff personally undertook to raise money for the fund, and collected almost $1000 dollars.
Our entire team became involved with the Burnside Gorge Community Association’s annual Gorge Waterway Cleanup, working with over 150 volunteers from around the community, assisting in the removal of almost 2 tonnes of debris from the Gorge shoreline during the one day event!
