Our Toronto junk removal business launched in May 1999 when Paul Guy started the first 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise. Paul began cleaning out garages, removing old furniture, appliances, and construction debris in the GTA. It was quite evident early that the need for junk removal in Toronto was intense. Paul quickly added a business partner; Derick Ladurantaye and together they doubled their capacity to meet the strong need customers had for junk removal across Toronto, Mississauga, Etobicoke, Brampton, Markham, Oshawa and Thornhill. The Toronto junk removal franchise grew rapidly on the heels of great service and great customer care; 1-800-GOT-JUNK? now has 315 franchises in Canada, the United States, and Australia. Paul continues to operate the Toronto junk removal franchise while Derick has moved on to operate 1-800-GOT-JUNK? in Manhattan. Junk removal in New York City will never be the same.

$17,000 raised for breast cancer research

On May 29th 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Toronto hosted Toronto’s biggest yard sale and raised $17,000 towards breast cancer research through the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. The Yard Sale for the Cure is a national day of awareness and fundraising for breast cancer and homes or business can host a yard sale and donate proceeds to CBCF.

 

1-800-GOT-JUNK? Toronto Truck Team members collected, stored, and preserved the best gently used household items in preparation of Toronto’s biggest yard sale and extended the life of approximately 90 tonnes of furniture, books, sporting goods, one of a kind items, toys, electronics and everything else that makes up  Toronto’s largest yard sale.

 

Since 2006 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Toronto has raised over $60,000 through their Yard Sale for the Cure events.
