In 2009 1-800-GOT-JUNK? became an official sponsor for Yard Sale for

the Cure, a national, Canadian charity that raises money for breast cancer research and treatment through country-wide yard sale events. We held yard sales in Vancouver, Toronto, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Montreal, and Saskatoon, raising a total of $23,000 this year.

Yard Sale for the Cure was a natural fit for our business and allows us to divert even more items from landfills! Every day, our teams collect gently used household items that can be recycled and donated. Yard Sale for the Cure is one way we’re committed to helping our communities and reducing our environmental footprint significantly.
