When the Dr. Phil Show first addressed the issue of people holding on to too much junk, back in 2004, we recognized our considerable ability to contribute to the recovery of North Americans struggling with obsessive compulsive disorders or lifestyle stresses that result in an overwhelming struggle with junk. We had the experience of working with people challenged with a variety of junk jobs, and we possessed the geographical infrastructure to meet the needs of any Dr. Phil guest.
Since reaching out to Dr. Phil and first working with his top-notch producers in early 2005, we have gone on to partner with the show on several occasions. Dr. Phil has brought to life the bittersweet and heartwarming stories of several people struggling with the debilitating problem of hoarding, and he’s highlighted how even those of us going through unusually stressful times can quickly find our homes and lives overrun by too much junk! As a full service junk removal company our franchise partners have tackled everything from small scale garage cleanouts to messy home renovations to large property evictions. In a business where the main commodity is personal junk and the stakeholder is the person letting it go, emotions are often in play and compassion is always the order of the day for the1-800-GOT-JUNK? crew.
At best junk removal involves releasing our attachment to personal things that may have defined us for a time. At worst, it supports the recovery of deep psychological behavior issues, such as hoarding.
We’d like to share with you some of the lifestyle stories we’ve worked on in the hopes they’ll inspire anyone facing similar challenges to get some help from the professionals!
