Hi, we're Robert Harris and Deserie McCauley and we own and operate the Atlanta Northeast 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise. We joined the 1-800-GOT-JUNK? family in October 2002 after reading an article about franchise opportunities in Fortune magazine. Our 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Atlanta franchise is an environmentally friendly company. All paint, chemicals, tires, computer monitors, propane tanks and batteries are disposed of through Greenleaf Environmental, Atlanta Recycling Solutions, Amerigas and Auto Zone. We are staunch advocates of protecting our environment and take great care in ensuring that as much junk as possible is recycled.
In addition to ensuring all hazardous materials are disposed of or recycled properly, we also recycle all metal with Newell Recycling, turning over more than three tons of old appliances and other metal to them each month. As a team, we regularly donate to local charities such as Angel Flight, The Dekalb Rape Crisis Center, and Habitat for Humanity, maintaining a sense of community and social responsibility for all 1-800-GOT-JUNK? team members. We also purchase office supplies through United Handicap Assembled Products Inc., and volunteer at the annual Dogwood Festival and the annual Brookhaven Arts Festival. We believe that being a contributing member of the Atlanta community is the best part of owning our own business. Our 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise is a member of the Better Business Bureau, the Atlanta Apartment Association, BOMA Atlanta (Building Owners and Managers), and the Georgia Chapter of Community Associations Institute.
Our 1-800-GOT-JUNK? team members can be spotted regularly around town in their famous blue wigs at Buddy's or NEMO's on Peachtree Industrial Blvd, at the Publix shopping center on Chamblee Dunwoody Road, and at Discount Tire on Peachtree Road next to Lowes.

We proudly service Atlanta and the smaller communities of Sandy Springs, Roswell, Alpharetta, Marietta, Buckhead and many more! If you've been in the area you've probably seen our 1-800-GOT-JUNK? trucks parked on Peachtree Road, Roswell Road, Howell Mill Road and Marietta Boulevard just to name a few! Starting our junk hauling business in 2003, we have always had a focus on recycling and staying green.
In fact, we have a recycling depot in the back lot of the office on Carroll Drive in Atlanta. Our 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise's metal and electronics recycling programs have been featured in the Atlanta Business Chronicle, 11 Alive news and others!
We have also consistently been involved in the community with volunteer work that includes the Clark Howard Habitat for Humanity project and pickups for the Atlanta Women's Mission off of Northside Drive in Atlanta. We partner with the Atlanta Furniture Bank (on Chatahoochee Avenue), and numerous other groups, including Goodwill. Anytime we can donate useful items to good causes like the Atlanta Furniture Bank it makes us feel good because we know our work is not only helping the customer, from whom we remove the items, but more importantly the recipient of the items who is in need. We love the feeling of finishing up sweeping a garage, now completely empty, after removing MOUNDS of junk that previously occupied ALL of the garage space. You can see the empowerment that such cleansing has on a customer!
Located West of Midtown and Georgia Tech in Atlanta, the Atlanta Northwest Office is in the Chatahoochee Industrial District, on Carroll Drive between Chatahoochee Avenue and Marietta Boulevard.

Hi, we're Gene and Amy Adams, Atlanta South 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise partners. We started our 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise, along with Amy's father, Jerry Grayson, in May of 2006. Since then we have been helping people remove junk from their homes and businesses across Fayette, Henry, Clayton and Spalding counties. What happens to all that junk? Items that are reusable are donated to local charities such as Clothes Less Traveled in Peachtree City, and Blessings Thrift Store for Haven House in Mcdonough. Any other recyclables go to Dell Walker's Enviro Recyclers in Fayetteville. Some examples of what we recycle are plastic, glass, cardboard, metal, wood, concrete, soil and e-waste.
It is important to us to keep everything we can out of our landfills. We are very active in the community and are members of the Fayette Chamber of Commerce. We love to participate in local events such as the Dragon Boat Races and Taste of the World in Peachtree City, The July 4th Parade in Peachtree City, The Fayette Job Fair, and the Back to School Bash at Truett's Grill in McDonough just to name a few.
Our favorite part of our job is helping people. When we go into a garage which is cluttered and unusable and return it to a useful space for our clients that's a great feeling! We just love to help people get their space back!

Each year, we hold a "Messiest" contest. This year, it was for the Messiest Garage in Henry County. We had a phenomenal response and judged eighteen messy garages all over Henry County, from Ola to Rex, Locust Grove, McDonough, Hampton and Stockbridge. Peachtree City's 4th of July Parade is always the best! The Atlanta South's 1-800-GOT-JUNK? truck gets all dolled up for the event, and so do they! They throw candy, give out t-shirts, balloons, and of course, the ever popular toy junk trucks. A good time is had by all who attend.
1-800-GOT-JUNK? Donations to Church
McDonough Road Baptist Church in Jonesboro had a garage sale in 2007 to raise money for the church. Atlanta South's 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise donated lots of good used items for them to sell, and after the sale, hauled away the leftovers. Several thousand dollars were raised to benefit the church.
Christmas Tree Recycling
Atlanta North's 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise is proud to sponsor "Bring one for the Chipper", an annual Christmas tree recycling event. 1-800-GOT-JUNK? in partnership with the Home Depot and other local sponsors coordinate this recycling event in January and the Forestry Commission provides seedlings for every tree that is brought. Mainstreet Jazz Festival
Even junk guys like good jazz music. The Atlanta East's 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise sponsored the 2007 Mainstreet Jazz Festival.Blessings Thrift Store
Blessings Thrift Store on Jodeco Road in McDonough sells gently used items to benefit Haven House. Haven House provides shelter and counseling services for battered women and their children. The thrift store has been plagued by illegal dumping of items that cannot be resold. 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Atlanta South has removed truckloads of broken furniture, molded mattresses and other trash for free to help out the shelter. 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise partners, Amy and Gene Adams said, "We don't like the idea of someone's illegal dumping taking the money away from this good cause. We also helped to build a fence to keep the trespassers out at night."
