We began our junk removal service in Oakland, CA in 2001 at the end of the dot com boom. We spent our first year working on the junk truck, removing junk from customer’s homes and businesses in just about every neighborhood in the East Bay from Berkeley to Martinez. more bio >>
In 2003, another 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise became available in the Bay area. It was the San Jose franchise. We jumped at the opportunity to bring the service to everyone in the South Bay. Now with a fleet of 8 junk trucks and a staff of 16, our 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise in the South Bay removes junk from San Jose, Cambpell, Cupertino, Saratoga, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Fremont, Newark, Union City, and Alviso.
In our six years doing junk removal we have served over 20,000 customers in the South Bay and hauled away literally tons of junk. Whatever type of junk or rubbish you have, we will haul it away – just as long as it is not hazardous.
What do we do with your junk?
Any usable junk removed does not go to waste. We donate all usable household items to the Tri-City Homeless Coalition (www.tricityhomeless.org). The Coalition assists homeless people in finding secure housing in the tri city areas of Fremont, Union City and Newark and we help to furnish their homes with your stuff.
We are also certified e-waste junk removers and make sure that any e-waste we pick up goes to certified recyclers in the South Bay to be disposed of properly.
We have made it our mission to make every customer an advocate of 1-800-GOT-JUNK? and go above and beyond what anyone would expect from a junk removal or hauling service.
If you have never used our service before, you will find the whole process painless. You can either book online at www.1800gotjunk.com or call toll-free 1-800-468-5865 where you will be greeted with a live operator who will book a pick up in a two hour window. The 1-800-GOT-JUNK? truck team will call you 30 minutes ahead of your schedule time to let you know when they will be arriving. They will present you with a price list and explain how our service works. When the job is completed they will do a final clean up and be on their way. You will even get a follow up call from our 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Operations Manager to ensure you experienced excellent service.

My wife and I moved to San Mateo from Canada to start our 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise. She had just finished her degree from University of Calgary and I wanted to take a break from selling real estate to start a business. We packed up a U-Haul, drove to California and haven’t looked back. With offices in Sunnyvale and South San Francisco our franchise strives to be the most professional hauling company in the Bay Area.
Our territory has been called many names over the years, from The Peninsula to Silicon Valley. Our territory stretches from San Francisco to San Jose and covers the Peninsula and the coast including Half Moon Bay. I started my franchise in November of 2000 after recognizing the need for a professional Junk Removal Service in San Francisco and Marin County.
