Hi, we are the Bruce family, your local owners and operators of 1-800-GOT-JUNK?'s junk removal franchise in northern Nevada. We opened our junk removal business in March 2004 after seeing how helpful the service was and knowing that it fit with our desire to build a business focused on providing a fun, exceptional customer experience. On any given day, you may get to see us doing our "blue wig waves" all over Reno, Sparks, Truckee Meadows, Carson City, and the Carson Valley. It's our way of showcasing 1-800-GOT-JUNK?'s junk removal services and reminding people about our fun spirit. Our occupational backgrounds are in sales, marketing, accounting, and customer service, which are ideal for building our leadership team at 1-800-GOT-JUNK?. Our operations manager, Paul Cain, is at the heart of our junk removal business. Paul's experience in the restaurant industry has helped focus our efforts on creating a unique and fun-filled customer experience.

If our junk removal crew thinks an item can be donated to a local thrift store, we take it to places like Habitat for Humanity, FISH, Classy Seconds, Salvation Army, Goodwill, Reno Arc, or Savers. If an item can be recycled, including metal, cardboard, green waste, paper, glass, or plastic, we ensure it gets to the right places. Helping Angora Fire Victims
Several organizations and businesses, including 1-800-GOT-JUNK?, are accepting donations to help families displaced by the Angora fire. We are taking items including blankets, clothing, shoes, toys, canned goods and monetary gifts.Junk Hauler Uncovers Heritage Mantle
1-800-GOT-JUNK? was called to remove an interesting piece of "junk" from a Gardnerville home: a 20-foot tall mantle made of solid wood. The initial plan was to cut it up with a chainsaw and then load the wood into our junk truck. But once our junk removal team got on site, one of the drivers recognized the "junk"'s true value. The appointment was thus canceled while we tried to find a taker for the mantle. Douglas County's Record-Courier wrote an Internet article on the story, and people as far away as San Francisco called to make a bid on the mantle.Free Junk Removal During Pride Week In Carson City
1-800-GOT-JUNK? is proud to be a part of Pride Week in Carson City, the city's annual clean up week. During the 2007 Pride Week, we offered three junk removal appointments per day for elderly or disabled Carson City residents at no cost. Giving Back To Nevada
In northern Nevada and Lake Tahoe, 1-800-GOT-JUNK? thrives on getting involved with the communities we live in. Since we started our business, we have actively given back to local seniors and the disabled by offering free junk removal services during Carson City's Pride Week, Reno's Clean & Green, and Washoe County's Great Truckee Meadows Community-wide Clean Up. We enjoy helping those who have contributed so much to our communities for so many years and now need a helping hand to keep their homes and yards free of unwanted junk and clutter.
We also volunteer our services when the community is in need. Last year we partnered with Carson Valley Christian Center and My Country AM1300 to deliver relief supplies to the victims of the Angorra fire in the Lake Tahoe region. Mine Shaft Clean Out
Wow! Cleaning out a Comstock-era mine shaft was pretty exciting. The setting, in the foothills just south of Virginia City, was the perfect location for 1-800-GOT-JUNK? to clean out years of accumulated junk and debris. Our trash removal team could only venture a few yards into the shaft before losing light, so temporary lighting had to be strung into the shaft. Even with the temporary lighting, the twists, turns and shadows of the shaft made for an eerie environment. Who knows what stories the mine holds of days long past. Our junk haulers worked with great anticipation of turning over old miners tools or lost nuggets of precious silver, gold, and gem stones. Alas, this mine held only junk.
