Hello, my name is Bill Paesano and I'm the General Manager for your Portsmouth, NH 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise. We are a locally owned and operated junk removal franchise that has been in this area for the past two years.

What interested me about 1-800-GOT-JUNK? was their guerrilla marketing tactics. I did some research online and found out that almost all of the marketing tactics used by 1-800-GOT-JUNK? are guerilla marketing related. A few weeks later, I found a job posting online for a General Manager position and I applied. I was hired as a Truck Team Member, used the opportunity to learn the business and then I was promoted to General Manager.

You can see our junk team doing waves on overpasses and bridges throughout Downtown Portsmouth. People ask us all the time, ""What do you do with all the junk?"" Sometimes it's not all junk. We try to recycle 75% of what we take away, bringing couches, clothes, chairs, dishes, pots, pans, appliances, and other items to Goodwill or The Salvation Army. Anything that is metal, like water heaters, boilers, grills, basketball hoops, car parts, and bikes, we take to local metal yards.

People also ask us what types of jobs we do. We do any type of job! The most common types are garage cleanouts, basement cleanouts, attic cleanouts, home office cleanouts, commercial business cleanouts, property management jobs, and estate cleanouts just to name a few! When we do these jobs, we can take one item to multiple truck loads. No job is too big or too small for us. Anything two people can lift we can take.

The dirtiest job we have ever seen was a basement that had three inches of water that soaked everything. When we were done, the place looked amazing but we were soaked and dirty from head to toe! The biggest job we have ever seen was a 10 truck load home cleanout. It was 50 years of junk collected and stored. The customer was so amazed how quickly we completed the job and how clean the place looked afterwards. It felt great to help out. The weirdest item we have removed was a 600 pound hand carved pig. It must have been funny seeing two guys taking a 600 pound pig down the driveway. I challenge everyone to give us a crazier, bigger, dirtier job. Hope to see you soon!
