Junk Removal - Philadelphia North

Philadelphia North's 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Franchise Partner Eric Blum

Eric Blum

Address:
668 Stony Hill Road  154
Yardley, PA
19067

Hi, I'm Eric Blum, your local franchise owner of 1-800-GOT-JUNK? servicing the Philadelphia North area. I started my junk hauling franchise in August of 2004. When I heard about 1-800-GOT-JUNK? and how they help people, I was very intrigued. I spent eight years in the Information Technology field consulting for Fortune 100 clients. After meeting Brian Scudamore and his team at 1-800-GOT-JUNK? I was totally convinced this was the business to invest my time, money and energy. I come from a family of business owners. My father was the owner of Krewstown and Pyramid Hardware in Philadelphia. Both of my grandfathers owned businesses including a fruit store in Philadelphia and a dry cleaning plant in Maple Shade, NJ. My sister and her husband own a roofing company in Maryland. Owning my junk hauling business has allowed me to bring jobs to Bucks County and support the local economy.

We now have five trucks servicing Lower and Central Bucks County and Greater Northeast Philadelphia.

We donate, recycle or dispose of the items we receive. Any items in good shape that are needed go to Interfaith Housing in Bristol, PA. Computers, appliances, dirt, concrete, wood and other recyclable materials are taken to recycling centers. All other materials are disposed of according to local, state and federal laws at EPA registered locations.

We take pride in what we do and therefore all our employees are clean-cut, trained and background screened. All employees receive tests to ensure they are thoroughly versed in safety, customer service and proper junk removal techniques. No job is too big or small. We have removed 150 cubic yards of debris in 10 hours! Nobody can beat that. more bio>>

Junk Removal - Philadelphia

Philly's 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Franchise Partner Alan Remer

Alan Remer

Address:
806 E Main Street, 2nd Floor
Norristown, PA
19401

Hi, I'm Alan Remer and I started the Philadelphia 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise in 2002 with one truck and now, five years later we are nine trucks strong and growing. After spending nine previous years in the stock market, I was ready for a new challenge and 1-800-GOT-JUNK? seemed like the best bet to have some fun and experience both personal and financial growth. The stories so far have been amazing. On one job our 1-800-GOT-JUNK? crew found a paper sack filled with over $1200 in cash. The elderly couple was floored when we brought the money to their attention.

As a local junk hauling business, we are always looking more and more at being green friendly. We currently have partnered with Comp-Cycle for computer recycling and are constantly sorting metal for the metal yards. Goodwill, Salvation Army, and various churches and thrift shops see our 1-800-GOT-JUNK? trucks pulling in frequently.

We are members of AAGP Apartment Association of Great Philadelphia, BOMA Building Owners and Managers of Philadelphia and Various Chamber of Commerce Associations. We are currently sponsoring the West Chester Youth Soccer League.

Our biggest and craziest job so far was removing 52 truckloads out of an office building in 3 and a half days! 1-800-GOT-JUNK? has an incredible support system and spirit of cooperation among the different franchises and the business and personal relationships that have came out of this spirit have been extremely gratifying.

Our Philadelphia office located at 7708 city ave. Philadelphia Pa 19151 near the intersection of City line ave and 77th st. Near Applebees, Ross Stores and Sears hardware. more bio>>

Our Montgomery County office is located at 806 East Main Steet / Ridge Pike in Norristown, PA along the Schuylkill River. Norristown is the county seat, where you will find the Montgomery County Court House. We are near the major expressways of 476, 276, 76, and 202. Our franchise not only services the majority of Montgomery County, but also the majority of Chester County, and parts of Upper Bucks County.

Junk Removal - Delaware

Junk Recycler, Michael Boucher

Michael Boucher

Address:
10 Prestbury Square
Newark, DE
19713

Hi, I’m Michael Boucher and I opened the New Castle County, Delaware junk removal franchise in September 2003. We remove junk from North Wilmington, Greenville, Centerville, Hockessin, Claymont, Arden and Pike Creek areas, including Newark, New Castle, Bear, Glascow, below the canal to Middletown, Townsend, and Odessa. You may have seen us waving to you wearing our blue wigs as we are out every morning six days a week. We’ve come to recognize thousands of people going to work, including some DuPont employees going north and MBNA (now Bank of America) and Hercules employees heading south. We have worked for a lot of these people over the years and have come to realize how much they enjoy seeing our morning waves. We also have one of our 1-800-GOT-JUNK? trucks parked on Route 13 just north of the 13/40 split, about a quarter mile south of MacDonald’s, right next to the Lone Star Steakhouse.

I did some volunteer work for the Christiana Hospital and Americorps before opening my 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise and do my best to continue to support them when I can. My volunteer work allowed me time in the Delaware State Parks system and we support them with park and river cleanups. We also work very closely with Goodwill Industries, Catholic Charities, the Salvation Army, The Little Sisters of the Poor, and numerous local churches. more bio>>

After starting my New Castle County 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise I loved it so much I now own three! The other two rubbish removal franchises are across the Delaware River in South Jersey. The challenges are numerous, the biggest being hiring the best Truck Team Members, so that is where we focus a lot of our effort. Every candidate is carefully screened before they’re hired and training is ongoing. Our training varies from role playing in our morning meetings to renting a conference room at the local Embassy Suites and having the regional 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Field Advisor work with us.

As the business expands so does our network of business contacts. We belong to the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce and the New Castle County Board of realtors, both great organizations that allow us to network and socialize simultaneously.

Our office is located right across the street from Vince's batting cage and golf course, diagonally across from Holy Family Church and just down the street from the Dairy Queen.

“Thank you so much for helping us earlier this month to with our office furniture removal project. As you know, we were under a very tight time deadline to “move or lose” this furniture and we greatly appreciate you being there for us when we called for your help on such short notice. You were the first person we thought of to call. Quite simply, we could not have done this project without your assistance. We have always been greatly impressed with the quality of your operation and now we know from first hand experience! Thank you again for your wonderful service and support of the Chamber.”
-- Clark, President, Lower Bucks Chamber of Commerce, Fairless Hills, Mar 2007

    -- Marcy M., Wilmington, May 2008
“I would like to take this opportunity to send a heartfelt thank you for two of your employees, Erik and Fran. We used your service at our property in Wilmington. From the very start they were very professional, courteous and had the greatest attitudes one can imagine given the work and circumstances. They worked hard to complete the task and did an outstanding job! I would not hesitate to recommend your service to family and friends and will not hesitate to call upon your service should the need arise.”
-- Ron and Janet C., Wilmington, Nov 2008
“Thanks again for the great job, this being the third time I have used your service and it keeps on getting better. What I like best is the professionalism of your employees. They do exactly as I ask, they don't waste my time and do not damage a thing. In and out, fast, easy and clean. Great working with you again.”
    -- Michelle, Philadelphia, Feb 2008
“The 1-800-GOT-JUNK? team worked their tails off. They cleaned out 3 truckloads from my patrents house in the pouring rain. I was especially impressed with the extra time they took to work with me and make sure some of the salvageable furniture was donated to St. Vincent's.”
