Hi, I’m Trent Lorfeld. My wife Susan and I started our 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise in July of 2000 making us one of the first 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchises in the United States. We currently operate six service routes which spread across much of the state of Iowa from Des Moines to western Illinois. Since we started our junk removal business in Iowa we have helped close to 12,000 commercial and residential customers dispose of their unwanted items.
We are currently involved with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources and SWAP (Solid Waste Alternative Program), diverting as much as 3,000 tons of debris annually from area landfills. Our junk Truck Teams realize the importance of donating items to philanthropic organizations. The impact of donating is two-fold: we not only divert trash from the already over taxed waste stream, but by donating working toys, used clothing and other household items, we are fueling resale outlets established to help and provide jobs to the less fortunate. We are a sponsor of the Project Aware River Action clean-ups held throughout the state of Iowa.
Our junk hauling franchise supports realtors, banks, property managemers and REO service companies by providing initial services and cleaning out of foreclosure properties. Upon request we provide free estimates, before and after photos of the job site, evictions and many other initial services.
Our office is located at 2952 N. Brady Street, Davenport, Iowa. (Brady Street is also considered Route 61). Even though our office is located in the "heart of the Quad Cities" we have truck crews located in the Cedar Falls, Waterloo, Cedar Rapids, Iowa City corridor, the Des Moines Metro area, as well the Quad Cities Metro. Our Quad Cities Metro area includes both sides of the Mississippi River.
Junk pick-up:

“Our company specializes in foreclosure properties, getting them cleaned out and ready to sell quickly. We have continually used 1-800-GOT-JUNK? for the clean up of our properties. They are extremely quick at getting the job done. I highly recommend this company for any of your trash out and eviction needs. Thanks guys!”-- Stacey, Property Preservation Specialist, RE/MAX Real Estate Concepts, Des Moines, Feb 2008
“I was under the impression that I would put my junk out on the curb and they would haul it away. I found out their service was so much more. Their employees came into our basement and hauled out all kinds of stuff. I was charged a reasonable rate for the service provided. I appreciated their promptness and professionalism.”-- Garth, Davenport, Jun 2001
“The Truck Team guys were great, they deserve a raise! Everything was very professional and the guys were so friendly!”-- Julia, Cedar Rapids, Apr 2007
“Thank you so much for prompt pickup at my home.Your men were very polite and professional. Please express my thanks to them. I will be glad to recommend your firm to others.”-- Joyce, Davenport, Sep 2004
For the past two years our junk removal franchise has been a proud sponsor of Project AWARE (A Watershed Awareness River Expedition) which is an initiative of the Department of Natural Resources' IOWATER, Water Trails and Keepers of the Land program. Volunteers participate by floating down the scenic rivers of Iowa in canoes and kayaks, cleaning up river trash along the way. The expeditions last an entire week. Our 1-800-GOT-JUNK? teams dispose of the river debris by going to various parks along the route and transporting it to the landfill where it is sorted into different recycling piles and recycled. In the five year history of Project AWARE, the participants have cleaned up more than 400 river miles and four different lakes, and removed 1,000 cubic yards of trash, of which 85% was recycled.
