Doug Ecklund
Hi, I'm Doug Ecklund, owner and operator of Riverside and Redland's 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchises. Our junk removal franchise opened in 2005 and since then, we've picked up all kinds of junk from Riverside, Orangecrest, Woodcrest, Arlington, Canyoncrest, Arrowhead, Big Bear, Running Springs, Crestline, Redlands and many other places!
I was in the grocery business for 20 years when I decided that I would like to own my own business. Opportunity knocked when I fractured my back and took time off to work on opening my 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise in Riverside. On December 5, 2005 our junk hauling operation officially opened and we immediately joined the Riverside Chamber of Commerce. We have teamed up with the Chambers Keep Riverside Clean & Beautiful (KRCB) program and participated in the Casa Blanca and Lincoln Park Projects, as well as the Great American Clean-Up. Our junk removal franchise has also been involved in the Adopt-a-Street program. I was recently recognized and received an award from Mayor Loveridge, Senator Dutton and Assemblyman Benoit for outstanding waste reduction. One of the reasons I chose to buy a 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise in Riverside is to be able to give back to the community. We have been able to donate and recycle over 70% of what we have collected. We also teamed up with the local radio station K-FROG for their annual food and toy drives. It is very rewarding to see how happy our customers are to get their space back without lifting a finger!
We are conveniently located in Riverside at 455 West La Cadena Drive, Suite #19, Riverside, CA 92501. We are a half mile from the 60/91/215 freeway interchange and only three miles from the historic Mission Inn.

Hi, I’m Jim Cunningham, General Manager for the Palm Springs 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise. I recently started working with 1-800-GOT-JUNK? and am excited to be part of this growing franchise. I heard about 1-800-GOT JUNK? from a friend and liked the idea of helping people get their homes, offices, yards and space back to normal. This company also affords me the opportunity to get out and meet people in this growing Coachella Valley County.
Our 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise donates to local charitable organizations and recycles as much as possible, diverting reusable items from the landfill. We recycle scrap metal for our customer in the cities of Desert Hot Springs, La Quinta, Thousand Palms, Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, Beaumont, Banning, San Jacinto and Hemet. We donate other items to charities like the Salvation Army and Angel View in Palm Springs. We are also a California state-approved electronic waste collector, ensuring that all old computers, printers, televisions and other e-waste is collected and disposed of properly.
There are many reasons why I'm happy to be a part of 1-800-GOT-JUNK?. I enjoy seeing customers' satisfaction, excitement and amazement after we've completed a job. We have helped many families cope with estate cleanouts resulting from the loss of a loved one. I'm proud of the professionalism we bring to our customers and the type of service we provide them. I feel very fortunate to be a part of 1-800-GOT-JUNK?, a company that believes in great customer service and can truly guide its employees to work as a team.

Hello, I’m Terry Miller, owner of the Corona 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise. I started in January 2005 servicing Orange County. I am extremely excited to announce that as of January 2009 I am now hauling junk from the Temecula Valley as well, including Temecula, Murrieta, Winchester, Wildomar, Lake Elsinore, Sun City, and Corona.
Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, and after nine years in the automotive industry with Lexus, I decided to start my own business. 1-800-GOT-JUNK? was the perfect fit. It gives me the ability to help people and give back to the community. I look forward to removing your unwanted items and giving you back your space. We are committed to recycling or donating at least 60% of the items we pick up. We are a certified California e-Waste collector, so 100% of our electronics are recycled. A huge part of our business is also servicing commercial clients; we have great relationships with many different property managers and regularly do office cleanouts, major construction projects, and small remodels. We are fully insured and can provide certificates with our clients named on our policy. You will probably notice one of my five trucks around your neighborhood or maybe my wrapped Smart Car, or a large sign above my office when you are sitting in traffic exiting Winchester on I-15 South. Also keep your eyes open for our blue wig wave on Ynez Road.Junk pick-up:

Your company is the absolute best in all areas of customer service. Steven Salustri & Matthew Purner, 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Palm Spring franchise partners, decided to completely change their lives, move into their vacation home and open a 1-800-GOT-JUNK? junk hauling franchise in the Coachella Valley. Palm Springs Life Magazine wrote up an article about the pair's new life in the junk removal industry. While most of their jobs involve cleaning out sheds, yards, and garages, they've done their share of unique junk removals. Check out some of the funny and interesting "junk" stories and strange items they've been asked to take away.
1-800-GOT-JUNK? has been involved in several community events. One that we really enjoy being a part of is the Inland Empire Jazz Festival. This year it's being held at the Cucamonga - Guasti Regional Park in Ontario. This is an event that is put on each year to bring the community together to celebrate the wonderful music of jazz. We have a booth where people can come up and talk with us about their junk removal needs as well as participate in our fun booth games. Small prizes are awarded to the participants and after it is all over, we do all the clean up for the event.
1-800-GOT-JUNK? teams up with local radio station K-FROG for a food drive and collects over 22,000lbs of food.
Riverside's 1-800-GOT-JUNK team has helped KRCB clean up Lincoln's neighborhood and the Casa Blanca area. They've also worked with the local fire fighters to collect toys for Christmas.
California District 23 is an amazing program that sponsors little league teams for special needs children. 1-800-GOT-JUNK? has proudly taken a role in sponsoring the Challenger Junior Blue Jays for 2007.
1-800-GOT-JUNK? teamed up with C.A.U.T.I.O.N (Citizens Against Unwanted Trash in Our Neighborhoods). This is a program that was developed by the City of Montclair's Fire Department Code Enforcement Unit, to bring together the community as a whole to create an overall better appearance of the city. 1-800-GOT-JUNK? contributed its junk removal teams to perform tasks such as help remove large items (couches, appliances, lumber, etc.).
We participate in a variety of local events and charities in Palm Springs. Our favorite is the Palm Springs Gay Pride Parade and Festival! This event is always in November. Come on down to Palm Springs and watch the parade. It goes down Palm Canyon Drive and is tons of fun for the entire family.
