Hi, I'm Doug Stoyer and I own the 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise in Connecticut East. I opened my junk doors in May 2004. Since then, we've removed all kinds of junk from full house clean ups to a single fridge. Every day is different and that's what I love!
You can often see our 1-800-GOT-JUNK? trucks roaming the streets of Manchester, Enfield, Windsor, Vernon, Glastonbury, Suffield, Granby and everywhere inbetween! When we started, we had three employees: myself, a part-time Truck Team Member and someone who did door-to-door marketing. We owned one 1-800-GOT-JUNK? truck and started getting the word out through any means possible, including our famous blue wig waves. Now, as we begin our fifth year of junk removal operation, we have six 1-800-GOT-JUNK? trucks in service and business is growing strong! We are located at 280 Talcottville Rd (rt. 83) in Vernon, CT. Our office is co-located with Jason McCoy (the current Mayor of Vernon) and Coldwell Banker Realty.

Hi, I'm Paul Stansel, your local owner and operator of Hartfords 1-800-GOT-JUNK?. Since opening my junk removal business in 2002, my team and I have removed a lot of junk! Our 1-800-GOT-JUNK? trucks service Hartford, Waterbury, Bristol, Avon, Meriden, New Britain, Farmington and many more!
After 20 years as a “corporate guy” with Fortune 500 companies, I was bored and needed a change. I wanted to experience something new and saw small business ownership as the next logical move. I explored several opportunities when a consultant from FranNet recommended that I look at a service business including this new company called 1-800-GOT-JUNK?. Right from the start I thought the concept was terrific and saw this as an opportunity to get in early on what was sure to be a big success story. I bought my junk hauling franchise in late 2001 and opened for business shortly after. I was the 20th 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise in North America and the first East Coast 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise. Since then, the 1-800-GOT-JUNK? brand has exploded across the U.S. and I have lots of neighboring franchisees. We have had a lot of fun with this junk removal business over the years and have helped thousands of people deal with their junk. Our clients are really appreciative of the quality work we do and love the clean space we leave them!
Our Plainville office is strategically located to service the greater Hartford, Waterbury, Meriden, Bristol and Western CT markets including Litchfield County. We are near exit 34 of Interstate 84.

Junk Removal Provides Fitness Boost
1-800-GOT-JUNK? helps you lose weight and have fun while hauling junk! Nicole Beagle, a junk remover for Connecticut East's 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise in East Hartford, lost 25 pounds and dropped two dress sizes! This was after just four months of junk removal. Junk she's taken away has included boxes of clothing, computer monitors, and heavier items like chairs and other furniture. Best of all, Beagle's junk removal job allows her to incorporate exercise into a schedule that's already packed with classes and baby-sitting.

Junk Removal Benefits Charities
1-800-GOT-JUNK?'s Hartford-based junk crew donates a large amount of gently-used "junk" to various charitable groups throughout Connecticut each year. One year we collected good, clean blankets and coats all summer, then donated them all to the Salvation Army in Waterbury, CT as the weather turned cold. We also donate junk removal services for charitable groups to "sell" in silent auction fundraisers.
Trash Haulers Celebrate UCONN's NCAA Championships
The UCONN men's and women's basketball teams won simultaneous NCAA tournament championships a few years ago. 1-800-GOT-JUNK? helped celebrate their victory parade in Hartford by "pre-parading" five of our blue and white junk pickup trucks with UCONN banners and flags flying. Our trash haulers drove the planned parade route and cheered with thousands of onlookers who had gathered to see the champs.
